'The Sun is new everyday', says Heraclitus. We know now this is not true--the sun is a constant star in our Solar System--but I thought even that obsolete quote is at least inspirational whimsy.

The sun may not be new...but the day is. I'm sure we've all heard of this saying in some form or the other: Each day is a new canvas.

I have a love-hate relationship with mornings.

I'm a sunbaby--I'm happiest during the daytime--but I'm not a morning person.

Out of years and years of habit, I'm usually up between 5am-6am everyday. Most days, I wake up cranky to be waking up that early...and this crankiness magnifies during the cold seasons.

I don't wake up gleeful (most times) and this is NOT something I am proud of. It is something I'm constantly trying to improve on.

Until 10am? Woah, that's a tough challenge, Mr. Hubbard! I'm usually ready to tear someone's head off the moment I open my eyes, but ok, I suppose a few hours wait is alright. :)

I lived in one of those small, cramped, clustered students' apartment complex while I was studying. You know, one of those cramped apartment where if you fart indoors, you're pretty sure that your next door neighbour can smell it? Haha.

One of my neighbour was this health-freak-nerdtastic guy, with that annoying luck of being good-looking and smart (and I may or may not had a crush on him then *cough*).

He was a teetolar, so was usually fresh and ready to go in the morning, and let me tell you this: all that fantasy about living next door to an attractive member of the opposite sex? It's actually irritating, you know? To wake up feeling AND looking like a zombie when there's a cute guy around all energetic and chirpy...

He was a very cheerful morning person, and for each morning he tried to engage me in chirpy banter over our kitchen balcony was a battle of conflicting wills.

Do I flirt with him like a deranged, lovesick zombie?

Or do I muster all my willpower not to silence him by shoving this butter knife into his...his perfect nose...his dreamy green eyes...oooh, those hypnotizing, hypnotizing eyes...

...Uh, what? What?

Ok, I'm back. I'm back. *wipe drools*

That is outrageous, Sir! I am rightly incensed by such accusation!

I'm not a gacha addict! I can stop whenever I want to, if I want to.

Rather, I think it is my heroic duty to play the gacha machines and show the masses what they can get out of it, don't you think?

Oh, the nerve of some people....honestly...

This photo is actually part of a larger post. As soon as I got the whiff that A&A is doing another jar gachas, I didn't even wait to ask or receive information from the bosses (:P), and TP-ed over straightaway to play it, like a true Gacha Gladiator! (Term attributed to fellow Gacha-Gladiator, Xanthe).

75L per play and there is (are?) a total of 10 to win, with 2 being rares. As you can see, I have all BUT the RARE-Clear version...but like a true gacha-gladiator, I ain't stopping til I'm dead(broke), baybee.

I was told by several friends today that I should stop by at the Thrift Shop...and I remembered A&A have gacha set up there as well. I thought I might as well put this up first so you guys can see what is available. It's purposely set on a darker setting so you can see how it glows at night.

So I haven't been to a psychic or astrologer because I AM BATTILY PSYCHIC AND ASTROLOGIC. Har har. Astrologic. Geddit? Geddit? Astro? Logic? Oh, I 'bat' you did!

Do you read your horoscope daily and try to follow any advice, recommendations or warnings it may have for you that day? I have to, it tells me what altitude I should fly at, and the exact time I should do it. I can't help it. Goddam City is under my protection so I have to heed every warnings available to me!

Do you have very strong feelings about astrology, either negative or positive? I suppose the way I answer this meme should signal a complete adherence to the alignment of stars at the time of one's birth and its' relationship to one's personality. Because as humans, there are no such things as free will and self-improvement!

On a serious note, I'm a Pisces but I never identify myself as so. I believe our personality is a state of mind. Before I found out how to properly find my sign, I believed wholeheartedly that I was a Leo, like dad. I idolised my Dad and I wanted to be exactly like him: fearless, badass, determined, ambitious, confident, SUCCESSFUL...all the values that was instilled in me that Pisces apparently lacks. I wasn't very impressed when I finally found out that I was a Pisces!

I don't put much stock in astrology, because of batty advices like these from this site. On how to attract a Pisces: "talk about spirituality, the occult, astrology, anything that is out of reach of the real world. They will easily get lost in a good conversation. " Oh wow. WOW. Batty much? If you try talking to me about any of these, I'd listen to you out of politeness, and then never, ever bother to hang out with you again. I'm not very interested in these sort of thing.

And according to the same site,  the way to a Pisces's bed is...THE FEET. "The feet are the most sensitive spot for Pisces. Massaging the feet and sucking on toes are usually Pisces favorite and will get them steamed up and ready for action.". I find feet repulsive and if you try to suck on my toes, I'll set my dogs on you and never, ever date you again. No, my feet is not my erogenous zone--it's my 'don't even go there' zone. Wanna know my erogenous zone? It rhymes with "feet". Yeah, bro!

Why am I not Pisces-y? To say in terms that astrology-believing people can appreciate: perhap it wass because I was raised by a strong Leo father, a dependable Taurus mother. And  I spent half of my lifetime growing up with my best friend and stand up guy of a Libra brother.

Or perhaps because I'm half-Chinese and my Chinese sign is stronger: I am the unglamorous Wooden Ox. The traits I identify with are in bold, and this description makes me sound like a cow. MOOOO! If you're interested, you can find out your Chinese/Eastern sign through this site.
